Bellevue Junior Football wins big

The Bellevue Wolverines Junior football system crowned champions in four of the six division championships played during the Greater Eastside Junior Football Championships on Saturday, Nov. 14.

The Wolverines won championships in the Cub, Sophomore, Junior Varsity and Senior divisions; in the Cub and Sophomore divisions, both teams playing were from the Wolverine system. The Bellevue system teams also were runners-up in the Varsity division.

Wolverine Blue Cub, Wolverine White Sophomore, Wolverine Blue JV and Bellevue Senior were named as champions.

The Greater Eastside Junior Football League includes teams from Skyline, Bothell, Eastlake, Newport, Inglemoor, Mercer Island, Bainbridge Island, Woodinville, Mount Si, Issaquah, Redmond and Bellevue.

The Bellevue Wolverines Junior Football System is made up kids in grades 3-8.
