The 7th Annual Chris Elliott golf tournament, dinner and auction will be held Friday, Oct. 3 at Newcastle Golf Course. The event, which will benefit Glioblastoma brain cancer research, will be hosted by KING 5’s television personalty John Curley, the host of the channel’s Evening Magazine program.

Tickets for the event can be purchased by visiting www.chriselliotfund.org; an individual participant fee is $250 and includes greens fees, a cart, lunch, dinner and prizes.

For $85, non-golfers will receive tickets for the evening dinner, auction and awareness program.

Also speaking at the even will be Dr. Ron DePinho of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

“Events such as this are made possible only through the participation and sponsorship of generous individuals and organizations,” said Dellann Elliott, Executive Director of the Chris Elliot Fund. “A cure is within reach.”

Sponsorships for the event are available by visiting the Chris Elliot Fund Web site.

The Chris Elliot fund has been raising money for the past six years to support brain cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The fund has helped to maintain six valuable research projects, as well as to educate and raise awareness for brain cancer, in addition to lobbying for additional funds for research and new legislation to make care available to those in need.
