Newport's Marianne Li, a rising senior for the Knights on the golf course, took home the championship at the Ryan Moore Junior Championship, an American Junior Golf Association event in Lakewood.

She was five strokes off the pace after the first round, before narrowing the gap and claiming the championship on the final day over a field of 24 girls.

Sammamish rising senior Matt Marrese, the 2A state title winner during the prep season, finished in a tie for 35th place in the boys tournament, shooting 76-80-73-229.

Travis Kay finished in a tie for 54th and Interlake's Sam Fisher was 68th.
