Isabella Gomez, a 12-year-old Bellevue resident, earned a second place finish at the recent USA Snowboard Association national tournament in Copper Mountain, Colo.

Gomez, a sixth-grader at Tillicum Middle School and boarder for a team based at Snoqualmie Pass, was also third in bordercross and fourth in half pipe, giant slalom and slalom.

Gomez is also a member of the Issaquah Soccer Club's Gunners premier team.
