Sammamish won the Archbishop Murphy tournament during the holiday break and gets back to KingCo play looking to compete with Lake Washington for the conference's lone 2A berth to districts.
That mission begins tonight against Crossroads Cup rival Interlake (1-9, 0-4), which lost to Foster 77-71 Saturday and has yet to win a KingCo game.
Nate Webner and Austin Clark are posting double-digit scoring averages to lead the Saints.
Bellevue won only one of its three games at the Max Preps Holiday Classic, but owns a perfect KingCo record of 4-0 as it travels to Liberty tonight.
The Wolverines' girls squad kept up its hot start, taking care of Davis (Yakima) 69-51. Mandy Steward put in a game 27 points as Bellevue built a 20-8 lead in the first quarter. Shelby Cansler added 19 in the lopsided win.
Interlake's girls squad also picked up a win, taking care of Nathan Hale 45-29.
The Saints face Sammamish Wednesday at home, while Bellevue travels to Liberty. Newport also gets back to KingCo action Wednesday, facing Redmond.
