State championships will be on the line when the state's best wrestlers head to the Tacoma Dome on Friday and Saturday for Mat Classic XXV after last weekend's regional meets.

Interlake's Daniel Montoya pinned both of his first two opponents before losing in the finals and will be the lone Interlake wrestler at Mat Classic XXV.

Rathana Duong was the only member of the Sammamish team to make it through regionals, placing fourth at 120 for the Totems to earn a spot in the 2A tournament.

Newport's David Yingling was third with a 3-1 record at 106 and Austin Curtis had the same finish at 220 for the Knights at regionals. Taylor Shimoji went 3-1 at 285 pounds and took the third-place match to punch his ticket to Mat Classic for the Knights.
