Sammamish grad vying for top spot at Indy Car Challenge

2010 Sammamish High School graduate Javier Cantu-Lucero will be one of 33 Indy Car drivers from around the country and as far away as Ecuador to compete in this weekend's Skip Barber Racing School Indy Car Academy in Braselton, Ga.

Barber began racing at age 16 and has previously won the K-1 racing league and K-1 Speed in Redmond.

During his time at Sammamish, Cantu-Lucero was a member of the baseball, football and track and field teams for the Totems, throwing the javelin.
