Newport grad finishes 10th at PGA Tour event

Richard H. Lee, a Newport grad who also attended Bellevue College and the University of Washington, finished tied for 10th place at the Humana Challenge, a PGA Tour event in La Quinta, Calif.

Lee, in his first year on tour, was only a stroke off the leader entering the final day of play before firing a 66 to fall off the pace. Brian Gay's 263 took the tournament while Lee finished ended the weekend tied with three others. He earned more than $124,000 for the placing.

Miles Fowler scored a game high 19 points and Will Ferris added 12 more to lead Newport over Skyline.

Blake O'Brien finished with 18 to lead the Spartans in the loss and Hunter Cikatz added 12 more for coach Maui Borden.
