Mount Si was the first Washington prep team to score a touchdown on the starting defense for Bellevue, and took a 7-0 lead in the 3A state semi-finals, before Bellevue came back with 37 unanswered points to keep its hopes for a fifth straight state championship alive next week against Eastside Catholic.
John Nguyen scored three times on the ground and Ryan Bordner kicked two 40-yard plus field goals to keep the Wolverines unbeaten.
Bellevue will meet the Crusaders at 7 p.m. on Friday in the Tacoma Dome with the state title on the line.
