Newport 4, Liberty 1

Newport scored two runs in the first inning on a double by Stacey Hagensen, who also struck out 10 on the mound for the Knights in the victory. Hagensen improved to 7-2 on the year for Newport (8-3, 7-2 KingCo 3A).

The Knights also defeated Liberty 11-10 in completing a game called due to darkness on March 12. Chelsea Dohrwardt scored the winning run on a wild pitch in extra innings.



Eastside Catholic 3, Seattle Prep 1

Alex Calvert, Tony Garcia and Chris Mataja each scored to help Eastside Catholic defeat Seattle Prep at the StarFire Complex in Tukwila.


Newport 3, Issaquah 2

Curtis Stensland scored two goals, including on in the 89th minute that gave Newport a 3-2 win over Issaquah.

Jacob Dance also scored for the Knights (7-2-1, 7-2-1 KingCo 3A). Junpei Tsuji scored both goals for Issaquah (1-6-2, 1-6-2).

Mercer Island 5,

Interlake 0

Jed Jacobson and Radcliffe McDougald each scored two goals as the Islanders rolled over Interlake.

Chris Morris also scored for Mercer Island (6-3-1, 6-3-1) and Forrest Marowitz picked up the shutout for the Islanders.

Interlake falls to 1-8-1 on the season.

Sammamish 2, Liberty 0

Brian Biccum scored both Sammamish goals as the Totems (5-2-3, 5-2-3) knocked off Liberty. Stuart Ellsworth and Isaac Valarde combined in goal for Sammamish, shutting out the Patriots (1-8-1, 1-8-1).
