In only its first year, the Bellevue Youth Soccer Club U-11 team is headed to the Founder's Cup.

The team of local fifth graders won the North Puget Sound Leauge Gold Division to earn a spot in the statewide Founder's Cup tournament, which begins later in the month.

14 area youths attending Enatai, Medina, Clyde Hill and Spiritridge Elementary schools comprised the team, which is coached by Peter Cochran. The Bellevue team defeated squads from Kent, Mercer Island, Seattle and Bainbridge Island en route to their championship.
