Clyde “Bud” Smith was born to Raymond and Ellen Smith in Centerville Iowa on February 4th 1923. He left us on January 16th 2014.

He left Iowa as a 17-year-old heading west with a friend. He ended up enlisting in the Navy and living in Bremerton Wa. There he met and married Athena Kreymer and had two children, Guy Smith and Claudia Westbrook. He worked as an accountant, a credit collector and found his calling building and selling homes here in the Seattle area. He met and married Mary Dallas in 1958 and had three children. Stephanie Leckness, Marcia Garcia and Angela Butoryak. He was also a bonus father to Mary’s son Jimmy from a previous marriage. The family settled in Kirkland where they would raise their family. Clyde taught his kids about skiing, horses, and the love of the outdoors. He loved family gatherings.

Clyde leaves behind eight grandchildren, five bonus (step) grand children and six great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his life partner Pam Lyon (as well as her children and grandchildren) of Carnation WA.

“Bud” was loved by all that had the pleasure to have known him and will be missed by all… May his memory be eternal.
