Carol K. Dunbar, long time resident of Lake Hills community of Bellevue, WA passed away peacefully in hospice care, at age 91, July 18, 2017.
She is preceded in death by her husband William Dunbar. She is survived by her two children, Philip, his wife Judy and son Jack Dunbar from Medical Lake, WA and daughter Lindy and husband Richard Marcley of Yakima, WA, and her three sons Donovan Regan of Seattle, Derrick Marcley of Vashon Island, and Charles Dunbar also from Vashon Island.
Carol taught kindergarten briefly before marrying William Dunbar an engineer for Boeing for 30 years. She was a homemaker most of her adult life. Carol was an avid bowler, loved her needle work, and busied herself with various crafts. She was involved in girl scouts with her daughter, hosted bridge club with her friends, earlier in her life she belonged to her church choir, and liked to volunteer with Overlake Friendship Circle. She and her husband spent many years developing friendships through square dancing and later loved round dancing.
Honoring Carol’s wishes, the family will hold a graveside service August 5th, at 2:30pm at Sunset Memorial Park in place of a formal service. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Bellevue Presbyterian Church.
