Two from Newcastle injured in 520 accident

Two Newcastle residents were injured Saturday in a two-car accident on SR 520 just west of 84th Avenue Northeast.

Two Newcastle residents were injured Saturday in a two-car accident on SR 520 just west of 84th Avenue Northeast.

Two Newcastle residents were injured Saturday in a two-car accident on SR 520 just west of 84th Avenue Northeast.

Stephen David Whiston, 53, and Nina Sue Whiston, 56, were the driver and passenger of a 2007 Mercedes SL55 that was struck by a 1992 Acura Integra 4-door at 12:23 p.m. Both vehicles then struck the Jersey barrier. The driver of the Acura, age and sex unknown, then fled the scene on foot, according to the Washington State Patro.

Stephen Whiston and Nine Whiston were injured and taken to the University of Washington Hospital in Seattle.
