Suspect fires pistol to scare cat, gun only fires blanks | Police blotter

Threats: The victim’s business associate called after a harassing email was received on her account. A report was taken and investigation is ongoing.

Disturbance: Male subject was arguing with his mother who wanted him and his wife to leave her apartment. Nothing physical occurred. Male subject and wife agreed to leave.

Fraud/Theft: The victim stopped on the freeway off-ramp to assist a male with his broken down car on the 10700 block Northup Way. A female and small child were in the car as well. The suspect offered a Rolex watch and several necklaces and rings to the victim in exchange for money to get his car fixed and running, to which the victim agreed. The suspect’s car started up and the suspect followed the victim to the bank. The victim withdrew an undisclosed amount and handed it over to the suspect in exchange for what the suspect said was over $15,000 worth of gold jewelry. The victim took the items to a jeweler, who told him it was all costume jewelry and was worth nothing.

Warrant Arrest: Staff called the Police regarding two suspicious males on the 13800 block of NE 24th St. Officers contacted both males and placed them under arrest for outstanding warrants.

Traffic Stop – Drugs: An officer spotted a known wanted suspect that was driving a vehicle near the 3600 block of Factoria Boulevard SE. The driver was placed under arrest for drug crimes. A passenger was placed under arrest for a warrant. The vehicle was impounded to the station for a search warrant.

Threats: Police were called to a report of threats made by a subject at the grocery store on the 3500 block of Factoria Boulevard SE. Officers responded however were unable to locate any suspects.

Arrest: The suspect was contacted for a traffic violation on the 11900 block of NE 8th St. The suspect was arrested for a criminal traffic violation and for providing false statements to police.

Weapons Complaint: A renter called to report that he had video of the suspect across from his apartment shooting live rounds into his own deck from a pistol shortly before he called on the 1600 block of 103rd Place NE. Officers contacted the suspect and had them exit the apartment. Two subjects were detained. A pistol was located inside bedroom of residence. An investigation revealed that the pistol fired blanks. The suspect stated that he was trying to scare his cat. Suspect was intoxicated. The suspect’s roommate agreed to take care of him for the rest of the night. No crime occurred.

Disturbance: A caller reported that the suspect had threatened to stab him on the 15200 block of NE 16th Place. Suspect left the scene in a vehicle prior to police arrival. Suspect was not located.
