Police can’t find man suspected of stealing from elderly

Suspect was last seen driving dark green Ford Excursion.

A man suspected of stealing from elderly residents at a downtown assisted living facility can not be found, the Bellevue Police Department reported Tuesday.

Timothy Woodall, 53, was arrested on July 12 after a Bellevue detective and crime analyst discovered similarities between multiple theft reports in late June. Three of these were made from residents at The Gardens At Town Square, Woodall’s place of employment.

The residents reported missing rings, watches, diamond bracelets and golden pendants — all totaling $37,000 in value. And since his arrest, several more victims staying at the assisted living facility have reported jewelry missing from their rooms.

Police were able to trace Woodall to the stolen jewelry, and verified that Woodall was allegedly selling items off at a local pawn shop.

While some of the jewelry was returned to the victims, some of the stolen items were not recovered, said Bellevue spokeswoman Meeghan Black.

Woodall faces charged of first-degree theft and trafficking stolen property. Woodall was booked into King County Jail and released on July 14, after posting his bail. And since then, police have not been able to find the suspect. There is now a felony warrant out for his arrest.

Woodall was last seen driving a dark green, 2000 full-sized Ford Excursion SUV. It has a Washington license plate BMD5446. Police believe Woodall has family in California and was rumored to be moving there soon.
