Man shot at Bellevue hotel Sunday, police investigating

The Wenatchee resident is expected to survive.

A 22-year-old Wenatchee man was shot in the parking lot of the Bellevue Red Lion Sunday.

Bellevue police responded to the hotel at approximately 12:45 a.m. after receiving a report from a witness who heard several gunshots. Around the same time, Overlake Hospital staff reported a man was dropped off at the hospital’s emergency room with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

According a news release, police determined the two incidents were related. Officers located several shell casings in the parking lot of the hotel. Detectives also interviewed the victim, who is expected to survive.

Bellevue police have not released further information at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
