Confusing cartilage: A Bellevue Police officer assisted Washington State Patrol with an unknown bone that was found in on a trail in Bellevue and turned into the state patrol. The medical examiner was unable to tell from a photograph if it was human or animal, but will conduct further tests on the bone.

Granny with a gun: Citizens found a fanny pack with a loaded Glock 23 on the side of 130th Avenue Southeast.

July 22

Sleeping at summer school: A summer school employee at Stevenson Elementary found a transient male sleeping in a classroom. The school went into lockdown, but responding officers were unable to find the subject.

Trippin’: Three males were seen stealing items from a downtown business. One of the fleeing suspects tripped over his own shoes while running away, and was taken into custody with a citizen’s help.

July 23

AirBNB burglary: A homeowner in the 10500 block of NE 25th St. was renting his house through AirBNB and stopped by to check on the renters. He found an unknown woman exiting the house and some of his suitcases and personal items on the lawn. When the homeowner started asking questions, the women fled in a waiting car. He later realized that his credit card and other items were missing from the house.

Breaking and entering after bedtime: Around 12:30 a.m., a homeowner in the 12700 block of NE 28th St. heard crunching noises outside of her master bedroom door and saw a flashlight. Officers arrived and found evidence of an attempted burglary, but were unable to locate anyone.

Roof party: A business owner in the 600 block of 116th Ave. NE heard something on his roof around 3:15 a.m. Officers located two extremely intoxicated men on the roof. Neither one of them could explain why they were on the roof.

“The boy is mine”: Two women at a dance at the Meydenbauer Center got into a physical fight over a guy, and two off-duty officers had to physically separate them multiple times.

Dance off: Another attendee at the aforementioned dance was asked to leave by security due to his intoxicated state. The suspect refused and resisted numerous officers while being arrested. He was transported to SCORE jail in Des Moines.
