A man wearing a pink wig was allegedly caught filming women using the restroom with his cellphone at Bellevue College back in January, according to the Bellevue Police Department.

Robert Whitehead, 39, is alleged to have admitted to voyeurism, and a search of his iPhone revealed three women had been filmed from under bathroom stalls at Bellevue College and another at the Rainier Square Plaza Safeway in Seattle, according a probable cause affidavit included with four charges against Whitehead for voyeurism. He is scheduled to appear in King County Superior Court later today.

Three women were in a college restroom around 1 p.m. Jan. 8, when one reported seeing an iPhone directed at her from under an adjoining stall, where a man wearing a pink wig was sitting, according to a news release. The women left the restroom, allegedly followed shortly by Whitehead. According to charging documents, two of the women followed Whitehead as he approached his vehicle while the other alerted security.

Police found a security vehicle blocking Whitehead’s car at the parking garage exit, according to court documents, and a security officer reported confiscating the Sammamish man’s cellphone after he got into his car and removed his wig. The security officer reported Whitehead seemed to be deleting photos prior to handing over his cellphone.

Whitehead was taken into custody and a search warrant was later granted for his vehicle and cellphone. Three women at Bellevue College — between 19 and 20 years old — were found to have been filmed using the restroom and another victim at Rainier Square Plaza was also identified, according to documents. The Rainier case was the oldest, allegedly occurring in December 2014. A pink wig was allegedly found under Whitehead’s front passenger seat, near a yellow one.
