Homeowner scares off burglar | Police blotter

Monday, Sept. 3

Welfare Check: A bystander reported an elderly female was disoriented at a park on the 3500 block of W Lake Sammamish Parkway SE. The Officer responded and attempted to identify the female who did not have an ID and presented memory issues. Another Officer was able to contact the woman’s family, who responded and picked her up.

Burglary: Suspect was observed by the homeowner attempting to make entry into the house via the front door on the 13200 block of NE 47th St. The subject walked to the rear of the residence and shattered a back glass sliding door and entered the home. The homeowner confronted the subject inside the house. The subject fled from the residence and was stopped in a vehicle by responding officers. The homeowner positively identified the subject as the person who broke into the residence. The subject was arrested for residential burglary, possession of stolen property, burglary tools, vehicle theft tools, was transported and booked into jail.

Tuesday, Sept. 4

Burglary: Unknown suspects accessed an establishment from the roof on the 200 block of Bellevue Way NE. Safe and cash register were taken.

Burglary: Unknown suspect(s) burglarized a construction site and stole several items on the 900 block of 121st Ave. SE.

Auto Theft: Officers responded to reports of two separate motor vehicle thefts in close proximity to each other. Officers are conducting a follow-up investigation.

Drugs: An officer contacted the suspect in a vehicle at the Newport Hills Park and Ride. Probable cause was developed for possession of drugs and the suspect was arrested.

Theft: A suspect stole items from the grocery store and then fled to a waiting vehicle in the parking lot on the 15100 block of SE 38th St. Both subjects were arrested, transported, and booked into jail.
