Police: Missing Bellevue man, 68, now safe
August 4, 2010 · Updated 3:33 PM
Bellevue police say a 68-year-old man reported missing yesterday morning is now safe and with his family.
Police on Wednesday afternoon asked for help in trying to locate Ngo Van Vu, who needed his next dose of daily medications.
The owner of an adult home contacted Bellevue police at 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday and began searching for Vu in places that he likes to frequent. Friends said Vu usually goes for a morning walk at 9:00 a.m. and then comes back for lunch, but he did not return yesterday.
Vu is not known to leave for days at a time. He does not use transit or taxis, and does not carry a cell phone.
