The Stangl family had an unusual visitor June 28 and 30 – a black bear in their backyard. The family's home, at 6036 129th Ave. SE in Bellevue, borders Coal Creek Park, so they often see wildlife, including coyotes, raccoons, and even an occasional bobcat. The bear did not linger on June 28, according to Marilyn Stangl, but two days later it wandered around the backyard for about five minutes.
