Malicious mischief was reported in Medina over the holiday weekend.

On July 5 between 2-9 a.m., a vehicle parked in the 800 block of 80th Avenue NE had the rear driver’s side window broken out. It appears the suspect(s) threw a large rock at the car, causing approximately $200 in damage.

An almost identical incident occurred in the 7700 block of NE 8th Street on the same morning. Nothing was removed from either vehicle. It is believed both of these cases were acts of vandalism, rather than vehicle prowls.

Also on the morning of July 5, a third act of malicious mischief occurred when a mailbox in the 8300 block of Overlake Drive West was blown up, police say.
