The Redmond Region Orchestra Boosters club is calling on all Puget Sound area musicians to help set a Guinness World Record for largest string ensemble under one roof.

The group needs at least 250 players, but will accept all string musicians from beginners through advanced – violin, viola, cello and string bass – who register for the "String Jam" event by March 30.

Performers will meet April 10 at the Juanita High School Field House (10601 Northeast 132nd Street, Kirkland) and begin the world record attempt at 7 p.m. Check-in is at 5:30 p.m.

Players must purchase a $15 ticket to participate. Spectator tickets are $10, or $5 for students and seniors.

Registration is available online the Redmond Region Orchestra web site or by calling Brown Paper Tickets at 800-838-3006.
