Drivers heading to downtown Bellevue on northbound I-405 this weekend should plan for delays. Crews will close the carpool lane on northbound I-405 from Coal Creek Parkway to I-90 all weekend, starting at 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 26 through 5 a.m. Monday, June 29. Crews will close an additional lane nightly as early as 10 p.m. The lane will reopen by 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday morning.

The closures will allow crews to pour concrete to transition the existing carpool lane to the old southbound I-405 bridge over I-90. Later this summer, crews will shift the northbound carpool lane onto the old southbound bridge.
