Human services group to honor two in Bellevue

Megan Kennedy and Steve Roberts will be honored Wednesday, June 3 by the Alliance of Eastside Agencies for outstanding contributions to human services in East King County.

The alliance is a professional membership organization of human service providers. The awards will be made at the organization's sixth annual awards luncheon at Bear Creek Country Club.

Kennedy, a Bellevue native, is supervisor of outreach counseling at Youth Eastside Services. She is being honored for being an exceptional advocate for youth.

Roberts, of Bellevue, will receive a special Legacy Award. He is chair of the Eastside Social Concerns Council and is being honored for being a leader and community advocate in ending homelessness on the Eastside.

Carol Lewis, CEO of Philanthropy Northwest, will be the guest speaker at the event.
