Experts from housing, real estate to discuss effects of legislation
The Master Builders Association will host a three-hour panel discussion about legislation affecting the real estate and the housing industries in Washington state. The event takes place from 9 a.m. to noon May 21 at the Master Builders Association headquarters in Bellevue, 335 116th Ave. S.E.
A panel of industry experts representing real estate, housing and supporting business will include: Scott Hildebrand, public policy director at Master Builders of King and Snohomish Counties; Sam Pace, housing specialist for Seattle King County Association of Realtors; Kevin Kalberg, chair of the East King County Chamber of Commerce Legislative Coalition and of Claffey's Painting and Mold Solutions NW.
The group will explore both the positive and negative legislation that may impact the Washington state housing markets including: legislation related to revenue shortfalls/national economic stimulus packages, consumer protection, and climate change.
