Transportation training offered by Hopelink, Sound Transit

Hopelink and Sound Transit have teamed up to provide an in-depth overview of Seattle-metro transportation options.

The agencies say the information should be especially valuable for social service professionals, resource agencies, accessibility programs, customer service representatives, medical professionals, care-givers or anyone helping travelers in King County. The Travel Ambassador training takes less than 2.5 hours and Hopelink brings the training to people's office, gathering spot or location of their choosing.

Hopelink says that during an economic downtown, more people become seekers of employment or services — some for the first time — and that transportation remains critical to their access.

The Puget Sound area, and in particular King County, is considered rich in transportation resources and options. However, Hopelink officials say, it can be daunting to fully understand the network of transportation programs and choices.

The free-of-charge comprehensive training is designed to make participants better informed about services, programs, agencies and tools that make up local transportation
