Washington State Department of Transportation bridge crews will conduct monthly maintenance work on the State Route 520 Evergreen Point Floating Bridge early Thursday morning.

Maintenance openings of the bridge drawspan begin Thursday, March 12 at 2:30 a.m. and end at 5 a.m. During this time, drivers can expect the bridge to be closed to traffic intermittently for up to 30 minutes. Crews will test the bridge drawspan to ensure proper working order and conduct monthly safety checks.

Drivers will be alerted to possible 30-minute delays by electronic signs on highways that lead to the bridge. Drivers can take I-90 across Lake Washington to avoid delays.
