James Warren Hampton of Bellevue died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009. He was 83.

Mr. Hampton was born on Oct. 2, 1925 in Jefferson City, Missouri. He served with the United States Navy in World War II.

He was married to Betty Jo.

Mr. Hampton was an executive with Boeing Aerospace Company for 27 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bellevue and belonged to Mensa.

Survivors include his wife of years; daughter, Judy, of Newcastle; sons, Jim, of Redmond, Jay, of Chicago; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A graveside military memorial service will be held at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28 at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 S.E. 240th St., Kent. Following the service there will be a gathering for family and friends at 11840 194th Ave. N.E., Redmond. Any cards, flowers, or condolences should be sent to that address, as well.
