Mars Hill Church launches Bellevue campus on Sunday

Mars Hill, one of the largest churches in the region, officially opens its first Eastside campus on July 6 in Bellevue.

Mars Hill Bellevue is the church’s sixth location. In addition to Bellevue, the church also has campuses in Ballard, Shoreline, Lake City, West Seattle, and Belltown, and uses satellite technology to distribute sermons.

Mars Hill is a non-denominational church taught by Pastor Mark Driscoll. Started as a small Bible study with a handful of families in 1996, attendance across Mars Hill’s six campuses now averages 6,000 people. “Mars Hill has been looking at a Bellevue campus for a long time,” Driscoll said. “We’ve just been searching for the right guy to lead it.”

Mars Hill Bellevue found their new home through a partnership with Eastside Christian School (ECS).

A kick-off barbeque will be held at Mars Hill Bellevue on July 13 following the 11:15 a.m. service. Mars Hill is inviting the community to meet the staff, pastors, and community group leaders who serve at the Bellevue location.

Mars Hill Bellevue is located at 148th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 22nd Street in Bellevue’s Eastgate neighborhood. Sunday services will be held at 9 a.m., 11:15 a.m., and 5 p.m.. Childcare is provided at every service.
