Bellevue could see up to 4 pot stores in its future under I-502
Bellevue could be home to up to four marijuana storefronts once the state begins handing out licenses, according to a recent announcement by the Washington Liquor Control Board. That's compared to the 21 that could be permitted in Seattle and the 334 total retail stores allowed in the state.
Guidelines for the location of pot stores were built into I-502, such as their proximity to schools, child care centers, public transit centers, schools and certain other landmarks. The number allotted was determined in part by population and local governments would still have input.
