A burglary and three vehicle prowls occurred between midnight and 7 a.m. Sunday, March 10 in in the area of Northeast Seventh Street and 86th Avenue Northeast in Medina.

These crimes occurred in the same general area where Bellevue, Clyde Hill and Medina have seen numerous vehicle prowls over the last several months.

Police advice residents to report suspicious activity, always activate alarm systems when away and always lock doors and windows even when at home.

The Medina Police Department offers the “Housewatch” program to residents who are out of town or away from home. If someone signs up for the service, police officers will regularly check on their home and look for anything out of place. To sign up for the program, go to the City of Medina website (medina-wa.gov), click on “Online Forms,” and then “Housewatch Request Form.” People also may call the police department at 425-233-6420 to notify that they will be away.
