Students at Lake Hills Elementary were locked down this afternoon as a precaution issued by the Bellevue Police Department.
The lockdown occurred at approximately 3 p.m., as a result of a police investigation taking place in the area. A spokesperson for the Bellevue School District Office of Communications said the police were in pursuit of a suspect near the school.
Students were held in their classrooms past the end of the day, but were released once the all clear was given by police.
