Youth Eastside Services raised more than $307,000 May 8 at a fundraising breakfast. It was the most successful fundraiser ever.

More than 600 people and 26 sponsors participated in the event at the Bellevue Hilton.

“Thanks to our sponsors, all of the gifts made at the breakfast will go directly to expanding YES programs and services as part of YES $10.7 million capital and program expansion campaign,” said Patti Skelton-McGoughan, YES executive director.

Gov. Christine Gregoire was the keynote speaker, Skelton-McGoughan said, “but the real heroes of they day were the two YES client speakers - 10-year-old Darian and 23-year-old Heather - whose courageous stories of overcoming daunting life challenges with the help of YES were inspiring and moving.”
