Eastside families can help make sure their children are safe at the 2008 Child Safety Fair & Baby Extravaganza Saturday at the Factoria Mall.

Sponsored by the Mall, Overlake Hospital and the Bellevue Police and Fire departments, the event will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children can get fingerprinted and have photo identification provided by the Police. McGruff the Crime Dog will be there.

Fitted bike helmets will be available for kids for $7, but the first 100 will be free thanks to Overlake Hospital. Bike helmets children already have can also be fitted.

Overlake Hospital will provide child seat safety checks.
