Chiropractor Dr. Eric Hansen will host his 6th Annual Bicycle Helmet Safety Day on Saturday, May 17.

The helmet campaign, in association with the Brain Injury Association of Washington and the Washington State Chiropractic Association, has grown into a statewide event.

Hansen will have helmets for toddlers to up to 18-year-old teenagers. The helmets are on a first-come basis. The helmets are properly fitted to ensure maximum protection and safety.

“We teach parents how to adjust and fit their child’s new helmet as they grow,” Hansen said. “We do not hand out helmets that are not properly fitted. We also give out a child safety packet that records vital information on the children and can be helpful in emergencies.”

Helmets will be given out from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Eastside life Chiropractic, 2032 148th Ave N.E. in the Overlake area. The office is located in the Overlake Plaza on 148th by Sears and Marshalls.
