Vehicle prowls hit Medina

Fourteen cars were prowled in Medina during the early morning hours of Friday, May 2. Thirteen of them had been left unlocked.

In the one instance where the vehicle was locked, a laptop had been left in open view with a window smashed out. Officers are still working with the victims to identify exactly what might be missing.

The activity took place in the 3200 block of Evergreen Point Road, in the 7700 block of Overlake Drive West, 8900 block of Groat Point and 900 block of 86th Avenue Northeast.

Also, several locking mailboxes in the 3200 block of Evergreen Point Road were opened with a pry tool with mail left scattered in the street. It is unknown how much if any mail was actually stolen.
