Seven named to Bellevue Schools Foundation board

Bellevue Schools Foundation recently announced the appointment of seven new trustees to the foundation’s board, bringing the total to 31. Trustees are volunteers and serve three year terms, up to a total of nine years.

“We are pleased to welcome these seven members to our board and are energized by their enthusiasm” said Executive Director Roxanne Kröon Shepherd. “The diversity and wealth of experience they bring to the foundation will help us to advance our mission, which is to develop, promote, and fund the best possible learning opportunities for all students in Bellevue’s public schools.”

Newly appointed trustees include:

Danny Brown: Vice President of Consulting at Brown Pear Solutions; mentor to students in Bellevue’s public schools through the Groundbreakers program.

Ed Conti: Financial Advisor for Ameriprise Financial; parent at Puesta del Sol Elementary and Tillicum Middle School.

Arthur Emery: Owner of Seattle Learning Specialists; President of STEP Ahead.

Katie Ford: Senior Vice President at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide; parent at Puesta del Sol Elementary.

Mark Littrell: Marketing executive with over 20 years of experience; parent at Woodridge Elementary and Bellevue High School.

Mojdeh Naieni: Senior New Product Introduction Program Manager at Microsoft; parent at Medina Elementary and the International School.

Connie Peterson: Former treasurer of Friends and Families of Violent Crime Victims, former member of the Financial Development Board of the YMCA/YWCA of Greater Ottawa; parent at Newport High School.
