The ten-member Community Observer Panel will observe the Board of Director’s evening interview with the finalist and provide written and verbal feedback to the Board concerning the finalist’s strengths and areas of concern.  While the Panel’s purpose is not to make a recommendation for hire, they will be asked to provide the Board with additional perspectives.

The Community Forums have been specifically scheduled to allow several opportunities for community members to meet and observe candidates. As such, feedback will be welcome. Anyone who would like to take part in the forum should submit questions in advance via the district's website (http://www.bsd405.org/).

In addition to attending the community forums, parents can enter a lottery to be part of the Community Observer Panel. Members of the Panel must commit to participating in all three days of the panel from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on May 22, 23 and 24.  Interested parties should e-mail Jacque Coe at coej@bsd405.org or call 425-456-4000 with their name, address, phone and the school their child attends by noon on Friday, May 18.

Those unable to attend the evening community forums will be able to watch videos of each candidate speaking at the forum. Videos will be posted on the district's website the following day, with the option to send feedback to the Board at board@bsd405.org.
