Two men answering an ad on Craigslist for a room for rent in the 15800 block of SE Fifth Place in Bellevue instead found the body of a man who had been dead for two or more days.

A crying four-year old boy answered the door and told the men he could not wake up his dad, which prompted them to take him to a neighbor's home. When the men returned they discovered the body of the boy's father and called police, according to Lt. Marcia Harnden.

It is unclear when the man, in his mid-30s, died and while police do not currently suspect foul play, there will be an investigation into the cause of the man's death and the circumstances surrounding it.

The mother of the child does not reside with the father and was out of town when the discovery was made. He was taken to stay with grandparents. The man's name was not available.
