A body that washed up on shore Wednesday in the Newport Shores area has been identified as Christopher Rominski, 46, of Bellevue, who went missing in February when he was kayaking.

The King County Medical Examiner on Friday said Rominski died from drowning.

A city utilities crew performing maintenance on a pump station in the Newport Shores area found the body.

Rominski went missing on Feb. 12 while he was kayaking on Lake Washington. Stormy weather hindered search efforts, and after two days crews stopped looking.
