A man was found dead in his Factoria apartment early Monday morning of an apartment gunshot wound.

As police were investigating the scene, a 28-year-old Renton man showed up with blood stained clothes and turned over a gun, presumably the one used in the shooting. Police arrested the man on first degree manslaughter. Charges from the King County Prosecutor are pending.

Police did not release the name of the Renton man in custody.

The shooting occurred around 1 a.m. Monday morning in the 12700 block of Southeast 42nd Street.

The Renton man is being held on $750,000 bail according to the King County Prosecutor, following a bail hearing Tuesday. According to court documents, the man said the victim shot himself on accident and he left the scene out of panic.
