Peter Egner, the Bellevue man facing deportation because of his alleged involvement with Nazi-run organization that planned and carried out annihilation of thousands of people during World War II, reportedly has died.
Information received by the Bellevue Reporter indicates that Egner, 86, a resident of a Bellevue nursing home, died Monday.
His attorney, and a person who answered the phone at the nursing home, would not comment.
His trial in federal court in Seattle was scheduled to begin Feb. 22.
Egner had denied taking part in the mass murders.
