Auction of Washington Wines events begin June 18

The 2010 Auction of Washington Wines will celebrate wines all across the state with featured events taking place in Walla Walla, Red Mountain, Woodinville and Seattle.

The premier wine auction will host a kick-off event in Walla Walla on the weekend of June 18, featuring 25 Walla Walla wineries.

The following weekend will continue with the celebration of Washington wines for Revelry on Red Mountain at Col Solare winery. Twenty wineries will be pouring alongside local culinary greats.

The Auction of Washington Wines will come to a close in Woodinville on the weekend of August 19. The first night will feature The Barrel Auction & Picnic with the Winemakers, with picnic fare provided by Tulalip Resort Casino. Friday night will showcase 15 winemakers from across Seattle for an exclusive dinner hosted at a private estate.

The black-tie Gala Auction on Saturday evening at Chateau Ste. Michelle will feature a multi-course menu accompanied by the top Washington wines. Live music will be provided by Brian Nova and his orchestra.

Proceeds from the Auction of Washington Wines 2010 will benefit uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s Hospital and the Washington Wine Education Foundation.
