French retailer LTJ Arthur coming to The Bravern

Bellevue will soon be the new home to French retailer LTJ Arthur, a designer label known for creating luxurious and comfortable home-style wear for the whole family. This coming September, the European-born shop will open its first West Coast location at The Bravern, located on the corner of 110th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Sixth Street.

Since 1983, LTJ Arthur has offered youthful designs and varied patterns with a line of robes, underwear, pajamas, loungewear, beachwear and socks.

This year marked the first LTJ Arthur store to hit U.S when it opened its doors on Madison Avenue in New York. Now it will join the ranks of the highly anticipated newcomers soon to inhabit The Shops at The Bravern including Neiman Marcus, Jimmy Choo, Hermes, Tory Burch and others to be announced.

Arthur opened its first store in Paris in 1992 and by 2005 grew to 50 stores throughout France and Europe.

“We are very excited to welcome Arthur to The Shops at The Bravern,” said Tom Woodworth, senior investment manager for developer Schnitzer West. “With its emphasis on quality, comfort and style, it is a perfect fit with the values of the Northwest. We think our customers will love it.”

Arthur’s designs are available online at www.arthur.us.com and include the “La Fiancée d’Arthur” line for women, a new winter 2008 line emphasizing new fabric, high-quality manufacture and innovative forms.

“Finding the right setting is essential for us,” Laurent Bourrelly explained, CEO of LTJ Arthur. “In Paris, we opened on Avenue Victor Hugo. In New York, our first store was on Madison Avenue. It the Puget Sound area, it only made sense to be at The Bravern.”

The Bravern is scheduled for completion in 2009. The shopping villa, situated between two residential condo towers and two fully-leased office towers by Microsoft, will house approximately 305,000 square feet of fashion retail, top restaurants, and 3,100 parking stalls.
