Benefit rummage sale set

First United Methodist Church of Bellevue will hold a rummage sale Mat 2-3 to benefit those in need worldwide and in this country. Doors will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days according to co-chairs Lael ONeal and Shirley Hirsch.
Lunch will be available and pie and coffee may be purchased from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Thousands of items will be offered, including: jewelry, estate goods, antiques and collectibles, furniture, all kinds of household and gardening items, tools, sporting goods and clothing.
All proceeds go to support church outreach projects throughout the world.
An orphanage in the Democratic Republic of Congo and a teacher in Tonga are two recipients. Closer to home, help has gone to Katrina disaster victims, a Lewis County flood relief project to rebuild a house, to Hopelink, and to a Seattle homeless womens shelter.
First United Methodist Church is located at 1934 108th Ave. N.E., near downtown Bellevue.
