Bellevue Square mall came alive with fashion this past weekend, kicking off the Spring 08 Runway Shows. The spotlights were on and the music set the vibe as models strutted their way down the runway.

The free runway shows ran all weekend long and highlighted a wide collection of Bellevue Square clothing stores. David Blackham, the owner of David Lawrence, hand picked styles from his store to walk the runway highlighting the Northwest’s current fashion scene.

“I tried to pull things that represented the collections that we have in the store and that are exciting to look at,” Blackham said.

David Lawrence has called Bellevue Square home for more than 15 years and is located on the second floor next to Seattle Best Coffee. The models wore fashions by Roberto Cavalli, Versace and John Galliano – all found at David Lawrence.

The four-day event also showcased the freshest trends from stores including Blue Willi’s, Cache, Coldwater Creek, Eddie Bauer, ExOfficio, Helly Hansen, In Vogue, Louie Permelia, lucy, Macy’s, Martin + Osa, Nau, Oilily, Papillon, RAG mens style, Voletta Couture and Zebraclub.

Some lucky trend-spotters walked away with prizes from select Bellevue Square retailers. The enter-to-win prizes included a $1,000 Bellevue Collection Gift Certificate, White Versace Mini Demi Squash handbag valued at $1,555 from David Lawrence, Oval Star Chain with Mother of Pearl inlay valued at $500 from Montblanc and additional gift certificates and prizes from more than 20 various retailers.
