For the past four years the Bellevue City Council has focused its agendas and staff time on the issues of light rail and the needs of downtown. It is time for the rest of Bellevue to get some long overdue attention. Understanding this situation, the clear choice for Bellevue City Council Position No. 6 is Lynne Robinson.
I want our school board to be filled with smart people who are passionate, hard-working, and tenacious, particularly when it comes to providing the absolute best possible educational experience for our children. With that set of criteria in mind, I can wholeheartedly endorse My-Linh Thai for Bellevue School Board.
As a mother of four children in the Bellevue School District, including two special needs students and one in the Prism (Gifted) program, I believe that My-Linh Thai is the best candidate for Bellevue School Board. She is a completely selfless person who is truly concerned with understanding so that she can make the best decisions for all students.
The recent article on the South Bellevue East Link station was misleading.
Basically we have a Senate acting as spoiled children wanting their way and only their way or nothing. And they chose the Nothing leaving “We The People” with more hardship, a sluggish economy, citizens and foreign governments with little faith in U.S, and a dysfunctional government.
Our family has known Ed Luera for the past seven years as coach of our youngest son in football and track. I have seen first hand how passionate Ed is about “his” kids and have been on hand many weekends and weeknights watching Ed work tirelessly mentoring and encouraging kids from all backgrounds.
I am supporting Lynne Robinson for Bellevue City Council because I value her personal investment of years as a volunteer in the broader community and as a member of the Bellevue Parks Board. She brings important experience in city process and leadership to the position.

Of all the candidates running for City Council, Lynne Robinson may be the most knowledgeable about Bellevue’s issues and needs.
My-Linh Thai combines the insight that comes from school and community involvement with the pragmatic vision that the Bellevue School District will need as we and our children grapple with new education and workforce paradigms in this rapidly-changing world.
As a real estate agent, I know our property values are directly related to the caliber of our schools. My-Linh Thai has the passion and commitment to listen to parents from across the district to continue to improve all our schools, not just the schools her children attend.
Ed Luera is the right person for the Bellevue School Board. He will always put the needs of children first.
Tracy Trojovsky is a strong candidate for the Bellevue School Board. She has volunteered many hours in the Spiritiridge community over the past six years and has held leadership positions within the PTSA.
I have known My-Linh Thai throughout the years our kids have been in elementary school so was able to work closely and observe her “style.” And the perfect word to describe her style in unifying.
I first became aware of Lynne Robinson when I appeared before the Bellevue park board some years ago. I noticed that she had actually read the input submitted to her (not all that common), listened to the testimony from me and others, asked thoughtful questions, and then let the audience know why she made the decision she made.
My-Linh Thai has the experience and drive to make the Bellevue School District the best it can be. Once an ESL student herself, she knows what it takes to effectively communicate to all members of the community.
I’m supporting Lynne Robinson’s run for Bellevue City Council because she really listens to people and works well with others
As a former Bellevue mayor and current City Council member, I know what it takes to lead our city. Vandana Slatter is an independent thinker who can work collaboratively and effectively on the council.
A small-town feeling will descend on Bellevue’s Main Street from 6-6:20 p.m., Friday, Oct. 18, when the 140-member Bellevue High School marching band leads the school’s annual Homecoming Parade.
Regarding a recent letter (“Second Amendment keeps us free”), the most important Amendment to the US Constitution is the First Amendment – free speech. That is the first thing that tyrants try to take away.
