Eastside Sings! plans four performances in July

Eastside Sings! will present “Summer Sing-Along 2010,” featuring a different choral masterwork every Tuesday evening in July.

This summer’s lineup is: Mozart Requiem, Howells Requiem, Bach Magnificat, and Beethoven 9th Symphony Ode to Joy. All Eastside Sings! events are held at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Bellevue, and start at 7 p.m.

Singers of all abilities are invited to participate. One of four established Eastside choirs anchors each week's performance, with its respective leader directing. Each masterwork will be introduced, explained, and practiced before being performed.

Scheduled performances are:

July 6, Mozart Requiem, Cascadian Chorale, cascadianchorale.org

July 13, Howells Requiem, Bellevue Chamber Chorus, bellevuechamberchorus.net

July 20, Bach Magnificat, Master Chorus Eastside, masterchoruseastside.org

July 27, Beethoven 9th, Kirkland Choral Society, Symphony Ode to Joy, kirklandchoralsociety.org

Cost is $7 per sing, $20 per four-sing package; high school students are admitted free. Tickets are available at the door or through Brown Paper Tickets, 800-838-3006 or online at, www.BrownPaperTickets.com.
